Ms.Matchsticks always likes her life to be just the way she wants it. it is always easier to start off with. But, you know what really gets to the core of existence?


 In a universe that is billions of years old and where we have all come out of single-cell organisms, the big bang and everything in between; being female has really stood out.

 So, Ms. Matchsticks decided she will address this problem head-on. She will now learn how to female in 2018. As she played with the pages of the Oscar Wilde's 'Picture of Dorian Grey' and stared out blankly, she heard the phone ring. 


 'Not again' she whispered to herself. Hi Tina! Ms.Matchsticks replied taking the call, of course trying to be enthusiastic about the phone call. Tina was raving about this guy she had met two weeks back. But, Ms.Matchsticks knows these penis holders far too well. they come and go, boys trying to be men.


 Tina finally hung up proclaiming that this is by far the best man she has ever met. While Ms. Matchsticks was still trying to figure out why was she being bombarded with dates that won't work.  Ms.Matchsticks sees the empathy in people rather than the promises they claim they can keep. When a man is robust, she often sees everyone making excuses for them. But, a complicated woman is devil's right hand. Spawn of evil they say.


 She knows dates and kisses and promises of love are nothing but ways to just make someone feel vulnerable. Till they realize they can't handle the bag of worms, called your head of course.


 So, why bother!

But isn't it funny how women are being held to a higher standard of morals than men just because they are women? It is. Ms.Matchsticks thought of the brotherhood made up of men in the world, looked at her India.

Like most unwarranted and hard lined outrages, the Surf Excel Holi Ad outrage is absolutely misplaced. ms. matchsticks have been seeing way too many hard liners turning anything and everything in to a narrative that fits their religiously devised politics. What about this ad that really bothered people. Some hard liners say that the Muslim boy needed rescuing. Some say that it represented a media stereotype of Hindu festivals. Some had a problem with the word 'daag'. That apparently is insulting, even though all these hard liners will be giving their white kurtas for wash after Holi. Because, let's be honest!
